Matt Kidd, Executive Director

Matt serves as Reaching Out's full-time Executive Director overseeing staff, volunteers and working with the organization's Board to further Reaching Out's mission to educate, inspire and connect LGBT business students.

His first involvement with Reaching Out was at the 2009 ROMBA Conference then he later became a Board Member, serving from 2011-2013.

With an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, Kidd comes to the role with a background in product development in both technology startups and theatrical production.  His experiences range from working with New York City-based start-up Tenlegs on sales and product marketing of its network for artists, to consulting for MyCityWay, a BMW-backed company, on the product launch of its Macy's Fourth of July mobile Application. Kidd has also served as a theatrical producer and communications consultant for commercial and non-profit arts organizations, and served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Boston Business Council.  Matt was an Arcus Leadership Program Fellow from 2015-2016.

Matt Cotty, Director of Development

Matt comes to Reaching Out as Director of Development with several years of professional experience within the LGBT community. He has experience in alumni relations, event planning, stewardship, fundraising, and grant reporting. Prior to Reaching Out, Matt has worked in alumni relations for a Babson College and as Director of Youth Services for a LGBT nonprofit on Long Island in New York.

Matt holds a BA in Psychology from State University of New York College at Potsdam where he currently sits on the Alumni Board of Trustees. Outside of Reaching Out Matt is involved as a member of the Fenway Health Young Leadership Council Steering Committee and is an advocate and educator in the HIV/AIDS community.  

Jordan Summers, Program Manager

Jordan Summers joins the Reaching Out MBA team after working in higher education administration for several years. Prior to her current role, she served as the Mentoring and Youth Development Coordinator at Berklee City Music, a nonprofit branch of Berklee College of Music. There, she recruited current Berklee students and alumni to teach music lessons to high school musicians across the Boston area. 

Jordan holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Business from the State University of New York College at Potsdam. She has volunteered with Boston LGBT organizations in the past and currently volunteers her time to teach math at a local elementary school. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading, composing, and playing music.

Julie Miller, Events Producer

Julie’s relationship with Reaching Out began with the 2006 ROMBA Conference at the Grand Hyatt in New York City thanks to a referral to one of the student organizers by a friend at Stern.

Julie and ROMBA both relocated to San Francisco in 2007, and following the 2007 Conference, Julie became the permanent Event Producer for the annual conference and other events throughout the year.

Julie’s background is Theatrical Stage Management, Event Production Management, and Fashion Show Production. Past events and activations include clients at Comic Con, New York City Marathon, New York Fashion Week, and the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

ROMBA is Julie’s longest standing client, and she is excited to celebrate 10 years with this inspiring group of people.

Board Members

Jens Audenaert

Jens Audenaert is Division Vice President & General Manager of ADP Ventures, ADP’s new business incubator, where he has full P&L responsibility for a range of innovative next generation solutions. Jens also serves as the global Chair of ADP’s LGBTQ business resource group and is actively involved in ADP’s numerous diversity efforts which earn the company a mention as one of the best companies to work for by Diversity, Inc. and the Human Rights Campaign.

Prior to joining ADP, Jens spent 10 years as a strategy consultant with Bain & Company, serving clients across 7 offices and 3 continents, and leading the firm’s worldwide LGBTQ recruiting outreach.

Jens holds an MA in Economics from Ghent University (Belgium), an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he received the Dean’s Award. In addition to the board of Reaching Out, Jens serves on the Leadership Council of God’s Love We Deliver (New York) where he also co-leads the GenLove initiative, and on the Board of Visitors of Fenway Health (Boston).

Corey Chafin, Treasurer

Corey is currently an Associate at A.T. Kearney based out of their headquarters in Chicago. Prior to business school, Corey spent five years focusing on the intersection of technology and business operations at a global engineering firm in Austin. Corey served as the Sponsorship Director of the 2013 ROMBA Conference in New Orleans and hosted the Operations session at the 2012 conference in Boston. Additionally, Corey has served as a board fellow to the Illinois Safe Schools Alliance and as a faculty workshop facilitator for the Safe Schools Texas program. Corey received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2014 and his BBA from The Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University in 2007.

Paula Cobb

Paula Cobb is currently EVP of Corporate Development at Decibel Therapeutics, a venture backed biotech startup focused on discovering and developing therapeutics for hearing. Paula joined Decibel from Biogen where she most recently served as senior vice president of the rare disease group, responsible for the company’s global hemophilia business and Phase 3 programs in spinal muscular atrophy and neuropathic pain. Prior to this role, Paula served as senior vice president of Biogen’s multiple sclerosis franchise. Previously, Paula led late-stage teams through 3 new drug registrations and launches. Earlier her in tenure at Biogen, Paula led new product commercialization for early pipeline programs, served as chief of staff to the CEO, co-led the ex-US Tysabri launch as commercial operations director in Europe, and served as country manager in Ireland. Paula graduated cum laude from Amherst College with B.A. in political science and English and received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She lives with her wife and two kids outside of Boston, MA.

Kevin England

Kevin England, Ph.D. is an educator, researcher, and subject matter expert in the HR and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) space. Kevin’s work has helped transform the systems and practices that drive organizational culture, to ensure that every employee is embraced and valued in the workplace. His areas of expertise include diversity and inclusion councils, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), and change and talent management. After completing his doctoral studies in Human Capital Management, with a focus in diversity programs in the workplace, Kevin launched multiple research programs studying ERG leaders and allies in the workplace. Kevin also holds PHR, SHRM-CP, and Six Sigma Black Belt industry certifications.

Teaching is one of Kevin's greatest passions.  An adjunct faculty member at multiple accredited universities, Kevin teaches undergraduate students, graduate students, and working professionals in the fields of leadership, change, D&I, and ERGs. Kevin also enjoys speaking on the subject of D&I, and has brought years of experience and knowledge to his workshops and expert panels at events such as the Forum on Workplace Inclusion, the ERG Leadership Summit at USC's Center for Effective Organizations, and the Out & Equal Workplace Summit.

Originally from Cocoa Beach, Florida, Kevin lives in New York City with his husband.

Anthony Esposito, Secretary

Anthony Esposito is on the Global Development team for Starbucks Coffee Company specializing in construction.  Prior to Starbucks he directed construction projects and purchasing operations for Heller Realty and managed with The Palm Restaurant Group in NYC. He is a MBA graduate from Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business, focusing on International Business and Finance. Anthony holds a BBA in Marketing from The George Washington University. Anthony was a Co-Chair on the 2011 ROMBA Organizing Committee. 

Rob Mark

Rob Mark currently works in procurement with Apple Inc. as a Business Operations Manager in California, and serves as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves in the Washington, D.C. area. Prior to this position, Rob worked for the White House, and before that served as a U.S. Army Intelligence Officer for 5 years on Active Duty. Rob earned his MBA from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University in Houston, TX and a B.A. in History from Davidson College in NC. Rob enjoys running, snow skiing, hunting, sailing and is interested in foreign policy.

Heather Rae Martin

Heather Rae Martin is currently a Senior Manager on the global corporate strategy team also known as the Chief Strategy Office of Mylan, Inc. She has an MBA from the Tepper School of Business and a Masters in Health Care Policy & Management from Heinz College - both part of Carnegie Mellon University. Heather was a Session Director at the 2012 ROMBA Conference and on the organizing team for the Club Leadership Summit in 2013. Born and raised in southern NJ, Heather also has a Bachelors in Chemistry from Princeton University. Prior to pursuing an MBA, she spent four years working for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies in St. Louis, MO.


Gabrielle Novacek, Vice-Chair

Gabrielle Novacek is a Partner and Managing Director in the Chicago office of The Boston Consulting Group. During her 10+ years at BCG, Gabrielle has focused her work on organizational issues within the consumer goods industry, and is an expert on topics of organization and operating model design, agile ways of working, strategic workforce planning, and change management. During her time at BCG, Gabrielle has lead numerous wide-scale, end-to-end organizational change efforts.  These efforts have taken place in a broad range of strategic contexts, including post-merger integration, de-merger and spin-off, cost restructuring to protect against activist investors, and strategic reorganization to enable transformative growth.

In addition to her work on organizational topics, Gabrielle serves as BCG's North America topic leader on digital transformation in the consumer packaged goods industry. In this role, she helps guide companies through the articulation and implementation of their commercial and operational digital strategies. She also co-leads BCG's strategic digital partnership with the Grocery Manufacturers of Association (GMA) and serves as a key contributor to BCG's intellectual capital and publication agenda on digital topics.

Inside BCG, Gabrielle invests significant time advancing the firm's diversity agenda, serving as the global lead for the BCG LGBT Network and as a member of the North America Diversity Council.

Prior to coming to BCG, Gabrielle earned a BA Magna Cum Laude from Harvard College and a PhD with honors in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago. Her research focused upon the impact of social, cultural, and organizational norms upon economic behavior and socio-cultural development. In her free time she is a three-time Ironman Triathlon finisher and avid skier, and enjoys spending time with her wife Nicole and their two very tiny dogs.

Christy O'Gaughan

Christy Gaughan is the Head of Customer and Market Insights for Roche France.  She is an accomplished leader, with 20 years’ experience driving profitable business growth through the strategic use of data and analytics.  Her team is responsible for all Commercial analytics at Roche France, which includes forecasting, market research, promotional effectiveness, and resource allocation.  Prior to this role, Christy was the Senior Director of Marketing Science at Genentech.  In that role, her 60-person team leveraged advanced analytics to guide resource allocation decisions.  She also led the creation of a Big Data analytical platform for Genentech, which will be used to generate deeper insights.  Across her roles, Christy is known to create a culture and an environment that develops strategic thought partners and business leaders.

She has also held a variety of leadership roles for Genentech’s LGBT employee resource group gPride and Out & Equal’s San Francisco regional affiliate, as well as served on the board of a non-profit focused on the health of the Philadelphia LGBT community.  Christy has also spoken at a variety of conferences, including ROMBA and Lesbians Who Tech.

Prior to Genentech, she worked as a Senior Statistician at IMS Health, the University of Pennsylvania, and Campbell Soup Company.  Christy holds an MBA/MS in Healthcare Management and Healthcare Finance, as well as a Masters in Statistics from Temple University.  She received her BA in Mathematics from Rowan University.  Christy recently moved from San Francisco to Paris with her wife Melissa.

Hannah Yankelevich, Chair

Hannah is currently an Engagement Manager with McKinsey located in their Minneapolis office. Hannah completed her MBA at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and was a member of the 2012 ROMBA Conference organizing committee. As the Vice-Chairman of Reaching Out's Board, Hannah has helped establish a organizational goal to increase visibility and opportunities for lesbian, bisexual and transgender women in business graduate programs and in the greater business community. Originally from California, Hannah spent four years at Google prior to Tuck as an online marketing consultant to Retail shops helping to bridge online strategy and implementation with offline results. Hannah completed her B.A. at Smith College with a major in Economics and English.
