Admitted LGBTQ MBA Consulting Project (Summer 2017)

Hello world! Please change me in Site Preferences -> This Category/Section -> Lower Description Bar

The LGBTQ MBA Consulting Project is a partnership between Reaching Out, PwC Strategy&, and admitted students at the top business schools in Reaching Out's Affiliate Network.

The LGBTQ MBACP is an approximately six week program in which LGBTQ MBA students located in the featured cities will be put together on a cross-school team with 4-6 other LGBT MBA students. We anticipate that projects will start the first week of June and conclude by mid-July.

A project leader from PwC Strategy& will be assigned to each team to work on a strategic issue that a local non-profit is facing. Participants should be prepared to participate in two weekly hour-long group calls with individual project work assigned between calls.

Participating in the LGBTQ MBACP is a great way for students interested in management consulting careers to get a better understanding of what the work entails through client engagement. Benefits include giving back to the broader LGBTQ and nonprofit community, improving newfound MBA skills, and interacting with peers at other schools in the LGBTQ MBA network.

The teamwork is largely done virtually (by phone/email), but there may be an opportunity for an in-person strategy session depending on team member locations.

Participation in the program will be selective and applications will be reviewed by Reaching Out staff and PwC Strategy& to ensure that a mix of schools, background and interests are incorporated in each team.

We will notify those selected on or around the first week of May.

To be considered for the LGBT MBACP in Los Angeles or New York City stuents should complete the application at this link.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis with a priority deadline of May 7th, 2017.
