Reaching Out & Friendfactor are excited to announce that the Friendfactor MBA Ally Challenge will now be part of Reaching Out’s LGBT MBA student programming.

Under a recent agreement between the two organizations, Reaching Out will formally assume all operations and management of the Friendfactor MBA Ally Challenge.  Reaching Out will continue the MBA Ally Challenge, currently in its 4th year, in order to enhance its ongoing support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) MBA on-campus clubs, which currently includes monthly club calls & speaker series, the Club Leadership SummitLGBT MBA Admissions Summit and the ROMBA Fellowship.

“By integrating the MBA Ally Challenge into Reaching Out, the program will become an even stronger asset for campus leaders to engage and educate their LGBT and ally peers alike,” noted Friendfactor board member and former CEO Joanne Sprague.

Reaching Out Executive Director Matt Kidd remarked, “I’ve witnessed how beneficial the Friendfactor Challenge can be for schools & students in our Club Affiliate Program and I’m thrilled we will continue to grow the spectacular programming that Friendfactor has created.”

Friendfactor has deep roots within the LGBT MBA community from its initial founding by Brian Elliott (Harvard Business School ’10) in 2009 to its relaunch by Joanne Sprague (Duke University Fuqua School of Business ’12) in 2012.  The MBA Ally Challenge launched in fall 2012 with 6 pilot MBA programs, and has since grown to over 20 schools and 9,000 participants nationwide.   21 MBA programs are participating for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Following the program transfer, the Friendfactor 501(c)3 will formally close.
