Donate to Reaching Out
When founding Reaching Out James Robertson, one of our co-founders, strongly believed that in order to succeed the LGBTQ movement needed to focus on power and influence – and the best power comes from bringing together our community at events like the ROMBA Conference. Connections made at these events end up lasting a lifetime and create a powerful network that, when used by well positioned workers, will help us develop the next generation of out LGBTQ leaders.
Unfortunately not all LGBTQ students can afford to access national events. Did you know that between flights, hotels and various registration fees, a typical student spends over $750 to attend one national lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender event?
To help ensure that all LGBTQ students have equal opportunities to succeed, Reaching Out created a restricted student access fund named in James Robertson’s honor. All donations to this fund go directly to students’ travel & registration for LGBT events. No money is taken out of this fund for overhead, production costs, or any other costs to the organization.
Reaching Out, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to educating, inspiring and connecting LGBTQ business students to become out leaders in the workplace, has launched a restricted fund, named in honor of one of our founders, to make LGBTQ events more accessible to business students.
Will you help us in our effort to ensure that all current LGBTQ business students have the true opportunity to become the out LGBTQ business leaders of tomorrow?
