Hi, my name is Andrés Furlan. I am a master in Computer Science. One of my greatest challenge is bringing technology closer to people - a goal that is aligned with my career path, as I have over 7 years of experience in course design, development and training for mobile and web technologies. I have been working as Coordinator of Technical Training and Programming at Digital House, an innovative edutech company that offers comprehensive education programs.
What made you consider business school?
My objective in pursuing the MBA is to acquire the business and management skills I need to direct a large-scale tech company. (I obviously also want to keep up with the latest technology). Also, I need to broaden and strengthen my leadership skills and I need to learn how to make digital business plans for a large-scale company and to gain strategies for identifying and communicating with high-powered investors.
What are you most excited about in terms of your time in business school?
Learning and implementing new things. Networking.
Who are some leaders (in the LGBT community, in business, or in society) that most inspire you?
Steve Jobs. Paul McCartney.
What's one thing everyone should know about you?
I feel confident in saying that my technical competence, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills are very strong. The additional advantage I bring is my ability to explain technology to "techies" and "non-techies".
