Meet Our 2019 Cohort of Fellows: Paul Schulman

Brandeis University, International Business School

My name is Paul Schulman and I am an incoming MBA Candidate at Brandeis University International Business School class of 2021. I am originally from Los Angeles, but spent the last 7 years in Albuquerque (yes where Breaking Bad was filmed). I graduated from the University of New Mexico with my BBA in Marketing in 2015. I initially started my career in marketing in the startup world before moving into real estate full time.

What made you consider business school?

I have always been fascinated with how things work and how they can be improved. After 5 years in the real estate field, I wanted to broaden my scope and knowledge. I want to move from identifying problems to having the tools to effectively solve them.

What are you most excited about in terms of your time in business school?

I am excited to meet new people from all over the world and gain new perspectives. Furthermore, I look forward to the chance to grow personally and professionally.

Who are some leaders (in the LGBTQ community, in business, or in society) that most inspire you?

I have been lucky enough to have some amazing business mentors. Women who came from disadvantaged backgrounds, but were able to carve out a thriving business in a competitive field. I would not be where I am without their help!

What's one thing everyone should know about you?

I have lived in the desert my whole life, so I am actually excited for New England weather.
