Michael's interest in pricing strategy started when he took a revenue management course in undergrad. After working in the hospitality industry for five years and seeing Price Check, starring Parker Posey, he knew that a career in pricing would be the most rewarding. Michael's other interests include urban farming, city planning, interior design (specifically of kitchens and bathrooms).
What made you consider business school?
I had planned to go to business school within 5-7 years of completing undergrad. The value of an MBA was highlighted to me by many of my professors and associates. Since my undergrad work focused on business management related to the hospitality industry, I wanted to gain skills that would broaden my application and development pricing strategies.
What are you most excited about in terms of your time in business school?
I am excited to meet future leaders and network with inspirational people. I look forward to sharpening my quantitative skills too.
Who are some leaders (in the LGBT community, in business, or in society) that most inspire you?
Allison Subasic was The Director of The LGBTQA Student Resource Center at Penn State while I attended and had led many leadership and development programs that I had engaged in. She inspired me to foster a community wherever I ended up and instilled a sense of self awareness that has driven me to improve.
What's one thing everyone should know about you?
I developed a lactose intolerance at 21 so I carry mass amounts of lactase enzyme just in case I walk passed an ice cream shop.
