Sheng is a MBA candidate at INSEAD. Prior to business school, Sheng worked as a structurer on the trading floor at JP Morgan in London for several years. He was responsible for developing and executing complex credit derivative trades for institutional clients such as asset managers, insurance funds and hedge funds. He also worked on industry-leading initiatives and platforms. Before joining JP Morgan, Sheng worked as a lawyer at Allen & Overy in London for a couple of years advising clients in a variety of multi-jurisdictional corporate and banking transactions. Born and raised in Singapore, Sheng read law at University College London. In his spare time, Sheng enjoys drinking wine, climbing rocks and challenging his friends to obstacle courses.
What made you consider business school?
Having started my career as a lawyer and now working in finance, I am keen to develop my skills and network to advance my career to the next level.
What are you most excited about in terms of your time in business school?
I am eager to make new connections, enjoy unique experiences and grow together with an inspiring and diverse community.
Who are some leaders (in the LGBT community, in business, or in society) that most inspire you?
Martine Rothblatt; I am inspired by her achievements in transcending boundaries of science, tech and gender.
What's one thing everyone should know about you?
I am constantly told that I eat too much and too often.
